Sarah Reeve MA BSc (Hons)

A client's individual needs are always at the centre of my work. As an integrative counsellor I draw on different skills and approaches, working collaboratively with clients to provide tailored support.

About the services I offer

I offer short-term solution focused support if you are struggling with something happening in your life right now which is stopping you from functioning day-to-day. Alternatively, If you need to explore events and experiences from the past in much more depth, our work together would be longer-term.

An initial meeting can help us establish how best we could work together. If this is your first experience of counselling you may be feeling apprehensive: feel free to contact me with any questions, whether or not I am the right counsellor for you I can help you to understand how therapy works and what you can expect.

About me

Finding the right counsellor or therapist is often a difficult task. There are so many experienced professionals to choose from and each has their own specialities and individual style of working. I believe that a great place to start is by simply finding someone you can connect with and trust with your fears and worries; who can offer you the space you need to talk freely and be listened to without judgement in a safe, comfortable and confidential environment.

I work with teenagers, adults, couples and families. I use a variety of techniques with the focus always being on each client's individual needs. I have a Master's in Relationship Therapy and I am also a fully-trained 'Samaritan Listener', where I support people in crisis.

I have extensive experience working in secondary schools with both students and parents supporting the mental health of teenagers and young adults, and liaising with multiple agencies. If you would like to find out more simply give me a call, email me directly, or complete the contact form.

What to expect

Your first appointment will be an initial assessment. We will begin by discussing why you've come to see me, and what you are hoping to achieve. I will ask you a series of questions about the situation you find yourself in, your relationships, past events and your beliefs to try and work out how they may have affected you. This will help us to discover the changes you would like to make so that you can start to move forward in a different way. We work at a pace to suit you.

During couples and family therapy each person will be given the opportunity to be involved in the process and will be invited to an individual session following the initial assessment.

Happiness comes from within — and I’m here to help you find it.
